A piece of advice

Dear Ali:

I hope I could have told the 18 years old me this piece of advice. Do not be hasty in taking your decisions always think of them through, do not just think about the day you are living, but think of the consequences of the actions you take. When you decided to buy a new car you shouldn’t have spent all the money you have just to get a new car with. And after you bought that car it, someone crashed into it and ran away. What did you gain from it? When you decided to spend all of your money and finance a car. You did not think for a minute that in the near future things might change. Do not live with the concept that you only live once. That idea will lead you to take poor decision. Yet I am proud of you when you saw people go into bad, and dark paths you did not try to prove to them that you can do it. Even when it comes to the major you are studying you still chose it in an instant without even thinking if you want to do it or not. Even if you are good at it. You did not stop to consider whether you like it or not. It is really essential to keep calm, and try to study each and every decision you make some of them are huge opportunities that might not pass by again. After you chose something do not give up because you feel tired. Once you have a goal do your best because once you reach your goal it will be worth it. But just in case if you want to go back on a decision that you have choose make sure that it will not cost you anything. In other words never take a loan or be in debt. When you make a decision it is always important to make a list of the pros and cons, and think about it. But do not over think it if you become afraid to take any risks you will not be able to make it. It is important to do what you love, but do not let it be your goal do what you have to do to make a living and do the things you love a hobby. After taking your decision do not think what if I hadn’t once the decision is made focus on the goal there will not bet any if, what if. When you decided to spend a whole year studying English even though you already were good at it. You thought of it as a break getting paid while you did not even have to attend school. You did not stop to consider is that you lost a whole year of your life doing nothing. It is essential to listen to other people’s advice on every move you want to take, because you will be able to look at any decision in different aspects. But you should know not to listen to anyone, and some people you should not even consider their opinion as an opinion. The most important think is once you make up your mind do not look back keep moving forward, Do not ask people whether you should have started this path or not, but ask them what can you do to move faster. Some paths will have a dead end just take another one. I am telling you these words because no matter how old you get , and no matter what you achieve. You are only human you will face decisions every single day, and some of them will be very important some of them might not. But know this today you are taking decisions for your own life even if you screw up you will screw up yourself. But in the near future you will be making a decision that a whole family depends on, it will not only effect you anymore.

What I learned about non fiction:

I learned that non-fiction can be really fun. After seeing the group that talked about comedy that was great. I never thought about comedy as a non-fiction. It can relate to everyone , and everyone can enjoy it.

Eportfolio:

At first I thought it was hard to use, but after getting the hang of it I find it easy to use. It was very helpful. Writing on the Eportfolio has made me a better writer. I can think of what to write , and how to say it better. It is really helpful for this course. In terms of grades it has a lot of percentage on it so that could be a good thing, but it could also be a bad thing. After learning something in class , and then writing about it kept it in my memory.
